Beginning therapy can bring up a lot of questions. Whether you’re curious about trauma intensives, consultation services, or how the therapy process works, the answers below address many of the questions people commonly ask before getting started. If you need additional information, please feel free to reach out.
What makes working with you different from other therapists?
I focus on trauma-informed healing through EMDR intensives and extended sessions rather than relying primarily on traditional weekly therapy. This approach allows you to dedicate meaningful time to processing difficult experiences and working toward lasting change.
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and my work integrates evidence-based trauma approaches with compassionate, individualized care.
What concerns or challenges can you help me with?
I work with adults navigating a range of challenges, including trauma, adult survivors of childhood trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and recovery from sexual assault or other painful life experiences.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning individuals who feel stuck in patterns shaped by the past and are ready to experience deeper healing and lasting change.
What is an EMDR intensive and how does it work?
An EMDR intensive is a focused therapy experience that allows you to dedicate extended time to trauma processing and healing. Instead of meeting for a single hour each week, we work together for several hours or multiple consecutive days.
This format creates space for deeper work using EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches so you can process difficult memories and experiences in a more concentrated and supportive way.
Do you offer a complimentary consultation?
Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help you determine whether a trauma-focused intensive or another service may be a good fit for your needs.
During this call, we can briefly discuss your goals and any questions you may have about the therapy process.
To book your consultation, give me a call at (850) 988-6890 or complete the contact form and click send.
Do you offer in-person sessions, online therapy, or both?
I offer in-person sessions at my office in Pensacola. Some services may also be available virtually for clients located in Florida.
Many intensive sessions are conducted in person to provide the most supportive and focused healing environment.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is the primary modality I use during intensive sessions. I also integrate other trauma-informed approaches when appropriate, including Brainspotting, parts work, sand tray therapy, attachment-based approaches, and trauma-informed cognitive strategies.
Each intensive is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Do you accept insurance?
Triple R Counseling & Consulting is a private-pay practice and I do not accept insurance.
This allows our work together to remain focused on your healing process without the limitations or requirements often associated with insurance billing.
How much do sessions and intensives cost?
Standard therapy sessions are $150 per hour. Intensives, workshops, and retreat experiences vary in length and pricing depending on the structure of the service.
During your consultation, we can discuss the options available and determine what may be the best fit for your goals.
Will I need to stay in therapy for a long time?
Many people worry that therapy will become an open-ended process without clear progress. My intensive model is designed to support meaningful work in a focused format so you can address the root of what you’re experiencing rather than remaining stuck in long-term patterns.
Healing looks different for everyone, but the goal is always to help you move forward with greater clarity, freedom, and resilience.
How do I get started?
